Sales for Non Sales People

In hospitality everyone is in sales regardless of their role, position or job description. This course provides the basic skills and techniques to provide non sales people in hospitality with the comfort, confidence and ability to identify, understand, and initiate sales opportunities in their position.

The course will include a self-assessment, the Human Synergistics Life Styles Inventory – Sales (LSI – Sales). The results of these assessments will be used to provide participants with self awareness as to their beliefs, values, behaviors and assumptions and then guide them in their personal development of skills and techniques to make sales.

Workshop Objectives:

  • To look at your thinking and behavior styles when a sales opportunity presents itself
  • To recognize your strengths as well as any barriers that be standing in your way to pursing a sales opportunity
  • To learn to initiate positive changes in how you think and act in sales situations
  • To build confidence and self-esteem with regard to making sales
  • To learn how to build and maintain sales relationships
  • To learn the basics of making sales, for example – identify the need, find the opportunity, show the value of your offering versus that of competitors, find the decision maker, identify elements that will make the sale happen, building trust

  • Understand how you think and act in when faced with potential sales opportunities
  • Know how to overcome personal attitude barriers to making sales
  • Know how to develop confidence in your ability to make sales
  • Know how to build and maintain sales relationships
  • Know the basics of making sales, for example – how to engage  people and develop rapport; how to discover the reasons people buy and how to ask the right questions.
